Making Money and Blogging, Part I: The Start

For some of us Blogging is :
Dear (public) Diary:  I have a passion for this or that and would like to share it with all !
For others it is :
Dear (private) wallet: I wish people will click more on my adds so I can fill you up faster!

Two sides of the same coin:  Reaching out for Ideas or Funds. But you did not know that you can do BOTH!

Site Map

For Blogs?….. Why not!
  A blog is a web page with interaction features, but Search Engines like Google and Yahoo love them maps and can not tell how often you post on your blog unless you have one and you keep it current, They see your new pages and the show up in their search list, Bingo!……  More traffic to your corner.

For Blogger fans, it is easy, Blogger is part of Google and they take care of their own, but for us Wordpress Fans…you can get  Google XML Site Map Generator Plugin .

Track back

The track back feature on your blog allow other people to link to your blog, a post-to-post kind of connection. They use the talkback to your post, and send their readers to your blog, which means …you guess it : Traffic!
Just remember to return the favor.

Blogroll

On your blog is a money maker by itself; if you know how to use it:

-  Apples to Apples: Adding friends and family blogs is something; but adding a link to say “Sight Seeing” and your blog is about “Finance” would sink your Page Rank!

-  Linking to what is called Authority Blogs in Financial services tell the search engines “My blog is about Finance” even if you do not get a link back from them.

-  Have a lot of Links?  Make a new page for them, your visitor should not scroll down to read your blogroll.

Tags

You know those little words you have to put into Tags box?  Those are your Keywords, your Money words ; so choose them wisely from your post content and keep them relevant to your topic.

Tracking

You want to be able to track your visitors and know where they are coming from, which words (or Keywords) they searched to find your blog. When it comes to your Money words the more you know about them the better (more on that in later posts) but meanwhile head to FEEDJIT  for a simple, effective and fun to watch widget you can put on your blog sidebar.

RSS Feed 

Syndication is another word for it, use RSS feed as a Radio Broadcast to the wow world, with links back to your blog with little or no effort. Visitors that subscribe to your blog’s RSS feeds are able to then post your blog posts on their sites or blogs…More Links!

All of the things I pointed out take little or no time to do, and you get rewarded with more Money…
