Internet Marketing Needs a Makeover?

Let me start by saying: and a Major One at that!
Last time I checked:  we are in the 21st century, so how come Internet marketers are still stuck in the yesteryears?
Allow me to count the ways:

HTML

Your Basic HTML is still the foundation and serves the purpose for any web site, but:  INTERNET MARKETING IS NOT YOUR ORDINARY WEBSITE!

When you become an Internet Marketer, You are taking on a new responsibility to be on the cutting edge of technology, you are introducing New Methods, New Ideas and most of all New Products….You are MARKETING, the old bazaar way of throwing a few lines of code together and calling it a day (or a website) are gone, and Simple HTML will not cut it anymore!

Ever heard of XHTML, XML, and CSS?
Starting with the Squeeze Page and ending with: Before you Go…Long trail of old , historic and tables-full pages, Images that belong to the Internet Museum of Art, Flashy Banners that everybody ignores; and the list goes on and on.

Do not give me: Faster Page Load song; you can achieve the same time (or even faster) with a decent Style Sheet!

Color Themes

Disco Anyone?
I do not know about you, but I am not a big fan!
Most of Your readers and subscribers are young (or young at heart), enthusiastic persons who are well educated in good taste, so why you keep on throwing old and out of date color themes at them?

Borden your horizon a little, browse the net more and you will see  that the Pre-set and Packaged themes are out of date and out of interest!

Contact Page

Sign up and Opt-in forms are basic tools for internet marketing… no argument there,
BUT:  Contact, Contact Me and Contact Us pages are starting to be an important part for your visitors; they need to talk to you , give you a piece of their mind and they want communication methods, and besides:  Leads and Conversions DO come out of those contact pages too!
And you can overcome any Spam you get from those pages easily!
