OK, you have your Essential Plugins, your Traffic Generating Plugins ( TGP’s) and your Helping Hand Plugins;

Time for Fine-Tuning WordPress Plugins.

Sure;  your WordPress blog can function fine without them, but for some of us: Finer is more like it. We like to chase after a Great Blog . We try to have a Unique blog, those plugins make it much easier than going through lines and lines of code; if you “been there done that”  you know what I am talking about!

 

While Some of them do require accessing certain files on your server and making changes in them, some of them will replace plugins you might already have and some of them need more effort than your usual plugin; but The end result in your WordPress blog is worth the trouble.

Here they are in no particular order:

AskApache Google 404

Weird name, Great plugin!

For better S.E.O and to make your blog more visitors friendly; your blog needs 404 (Page not Found) page; while some of WordPress templates do come with it, most of them do not. You can use your template 404 page or use this plugin as  404 page; does require .htaccess file modification and Google API (Free) to work:

Hackadelic SEO TOC

The name says it all: Table of Content for you page that is SEO Friendly, never mind the Hackadelic part, he is a great guy.

 Do you have long posts or pages? Do you use Page breaks a lot?  This plugin will hunt for any <– <h2> –> element that appears in that post or page and list them neatly before or after your content, and you can switch it on and off.

Theme Tweaker

Some of  WordPress themes you see around are just great, but the colors in them tend to be flashy, dull or even wrong altogather. This plugin will let you change any color in your theme without actually editing the Stylesheet. Oh Yah: You can make Child Themes too!

It is All About YOU! This plugin will give you mycss.css Stylesheet to use in your blog, you changed the colors, the fonts why not change the CSS too. Author Description:

WP Reset

I call it : The Push Me if you panicked plugin, and although it does not tweak or tune your WordPress; you should have it ready just in case you did some serious mess with the codex and none of your efforts to fix it worked.

It simply resets your WordPress Databse to the state it was before you broke it!

No Home Page, But you can install WP Reset from your dashboard.
