Micro Niche VS Macro
Have you fished before?
Sounds strange to compare Internet Marketing to Fishing; I know, but keep on reading for a minute:
Do you remember watching a fisherman toting that small net on a sitck around? It is for catching the small fish which he would use later to hook the BIG ONES, the same applies to Internet Marketing Niches!
When you concentrate on a Micro Niche; you are using that same small net to land a lot of small leads and sales which will bring in the big ones; and if you have enough of them, you would not need the big ones anyway!
Which brings in the Focus in your marketing strategy, zooming in on a very specific niche (a.i Micro Niche) will give you:
- Smaller overhead and expenses when it comes to advertising or bidding on Keywords
- Less competition in the marketplace
- The ability to offer and maintain Quality products to promote
If you are promoting Fishing Gear for an example ( which is a Macro Niche ); you will attract a few customers, but on the other hand, marketing Fishing Rods ( Micro Niche ) is a lot easier and there are a lot of fishermen looking for the right one!
